Quilaban participated in the 1st Clinical Pathology Scientific Meeting of ULS Barcelos/Esposende, with the presence of Cátia Piedade, applications specialist in the Diagnostics Solutions area. This moment enabled close engagement with a team recently integrated as a client in the areas of blood cultures and MALDI-TOF.
During the session, essential topics for laboratory practice were addressed, namely the blood culture process, from collection to identification. The role of MALDI-TOF and molecular biology in the evolution of diagnostics was also explored, highlighting the impact of these technologies on the precision and speed of results.
