Quilaban signs the “Hate is Not Opinion” Open Letter to promote diversity, inclusion and human rights in Portugal

Quilaban joins dozens of organisations in signing the Open Letter “Hate is Not Opinion”, reinforcing its commitment to diversity, inclusion and human rights.

Quilaban has recently signed the Open Letter “Hate is Not Opinion: Open Letter against Discrimination in Portugal”, an initiative promoted by APPDI – Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion, Amnesty International Portugal, and Associação CRESCER.
Published in the newspaper Público, the letter raises awareness of the worrying rise in hate speech and discrimination in the country, calling for firm responses in defence of human rights and a more just and inclusive society.

By joining this initiative, Quilaban publicly affirms its stance against all forms of hatred, intolerance and discrimination. This commitment is expressed through three core principles:

  • respect for the diversity of people, ideas and identities;

  • the promotion of safe, inclusive and respectful workplaces;

  • and the clear rejection of any form of discriminatory speech or behaviour.

With this endorsement, we reinforce our view that diversity is essential for growth and innovation, placing the well-being of people at the heart of our actions.

You can also sign the Open Letter and be part of building a more tolerant society.
