The partnership with Burning Rock Dx expands Portuguese market access to advanced genomic sequencing solutions applied to precision oncology.

Quilaban has begun to represent Burning Rock Dx in Portugal, an international company specialising in molecular diagnostic solutions and precision oncology based on next-generation sequencing (NGS).

The integration of this representative strengthens Quilaban’s portfolio in the genomics field, providing solutions applied to tissue biopsies and liquid biopsies, with a focus on supporting biomarker research, clinical trials and implementation of precision medicine strategies.

In a context where precision medicine demands increasingly robust and actionable genetic information, these solutions enable more detailed molecular characterisation of tumours, providing clinically relevant information to support decision-making and the definition of more targeted and personalised therapeutic strategies. This approach also contributes to better understanding of treatment response and to strengthening the role of molecular diagnostics in oncology.

The focus of this collaboration is primarily on NGS solutions with CE-IVDD marking intended for molecular diagnostics in oncology. Aimed at hospital laboratories, private laboratories and oncology centres, these solutions strengthen access to clinically validated tools, developed to support genetic characterisation of tumours and meet current precision medicine needs.

“This partnership enables Quilaban to strengthen its offering with clinically validated Burning Rock Dx solutions, supporting Portuguese laboratories in the transition to more robust, standardised diagnostic models and fully aligned with the new European regulatory framework IVDR (In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation)”, states Sónia Pereira, Product and Applications Manager at Quilaban.

Quilaban thus continues to invest in innovative solutions in the field of molecular diagnostics, contributing to the evolution of precision oncology and access to increasingly advanced technologies in the national market.
