The 28th Annual Conference of the European Society for Clinical Virology brought together in Porto specialists and healthcare professionals to share the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of Clinical Virology.
Quilaban was present at the 28th Annual Conference of the European Society for Clinical Virology (ESCV 2026), which took place between 16th and 19th September in Porto, accompanying its partner QIAGEN at one of the key events in the field of Clinical Virology.
Over four days, specialists, researchers and healthcare professionals from different countries debated the main challenges and trends related to the diagnosis and monitoring of viral infections, in a programme dedicated to the evolution of scientific, clinical and technological approaches in this field.
Among the highlighted topics were advances in molecular and syndromic diagnostics, including Digital PCR solutions, such as QIAcuity, and new QIAstat-Dx panels for bloodstream infections, relevant in clinical contexts such as sepsis.
Participation in ESCV 2026 enabled the Quilaban team to closely follow these developments and promote contact with specialists and technology partners, contributing to continuous knowledge updating and to their proximity to laboratories and healthcare institutions in Portugal.
This presence continues Quilaban’s monitoring of major international scientific congresses, in a context where molecular diagnostics plays an increasingly relevant role in the rapid and accurate detection of infectious agents and in support of clinical decision-making.
