At Quilaban, we believe that a solid framework for responsible business development is built upon the declarations and conventions of the United Nations.

It was towards the end of 2020 that we embarked on a transformative journey by placing Sustainability at the heart of our organization's priorities and practices. This journey began with Quilaban's enrollment in the UN Global Compact accelerator program: SDG Ambition. We joined the Global Compact Network Portugal (GCNP), the Portuguese network of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), which brings together participants of the initiative based in or operating in Portugal, joining more than 12,000 companies worldwide that were committed to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact at that time.

Sustainability within an organization begins with its values and principles. By incorporating the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact – focusing on areas such as human rights, labor practices, environmental protection, and anti-corruption – into the development of our internal strategies, our organization is taking responsibility for both people and the planet. This establishes the foundation for our future success and sustainability.
